I'm kind of stuck between just going with my username for stuff (Psychofig) or going with the name FlashPacked Studios, which would incorporate more collaborative work as well. Unfortunately I'm stuck with my stupid username (jfig111) so advertising my channel is a nuisance. Any ideas if I can change this? I reserved the username youtube.com/flashpackedstudios so I'm hoping one day I can get Youtube to make that a vanity URL for my channel.

flash packed studios seems more professional i would probably go with that and for reserving i did not know YouTube did that actually i doubt you can change your name you tube should really allow it though
 
Youtube are dicks when it comes to changing your channel name, you really will be better off just using the other channel or creating a new channel
 
Hmm. I saw some tutorial on a guy managing to do what I mentioned:

Except there is no way to contact youtube partner support...
 
Use your channel with the reserved username, start uploading there and create a playlist of videos which include the ones you already have made.

Maybe post a new video advising your subscribers of the channel change (and a trailer for new subbies to your current - soon to be old; channel)
