So i used to create gaming videos a few years ago, I really enjoyed it but after a while I sort of lost the passion i had for it. Recently I have been really wanting to post on YouTube again, I have a channel where I put up the videos I made on my college course. I want it to be a channel where I just upload whatever I want, whether its a gaming video, short film, tutorial I want it to be something that I have enjoyed creating. It will be a wide mix of content that won't be aimed at one specific audience, this has it's benefits of appealing to a wide range of people, but will they stay if they aren't getting constant uploads of the things they like? or will they stay as they might find something new?
 
you are asking some good questions, my channel is a good example of that,,,,,,,,, product reviews/tests/hiking/biking/parties all in one,,,but,.,.,.,they all stay on course of videography topic,.,.,.,..,..,.,.,whats your channel?
 
Well as I started uploading my college projects there are a few short films and music videos up. I think i will probably be sticking the videography side of thins as I think that's where my passion lies mostly. I will also mix that with my other hobbies such as skateboarding. So do I class myself as a videography channel or a skate channel? or is there no need to label it?
 
it looks very much like a skate channel,.,..,thats your passion isnt it? .,.,i found it(had to youtube your name) looks good, good thumbnails designs .,.,.,., you can put a link under your icon/name(like under mine) if you want someone on this forum to find it easier
 
Skating is a big passion of mine and I hadn't actually considered making a skate channel until now, I think that will also help me as now I have a main focus and direction for my videos and channel and I can work on growing a like minded audience, constant audience rather than a few people popping in every now and then. Thanks for the replies. I think i have added the link, hopefully it works.
 
link works,.,.,., you can make other topic videos like trave/nearbytravel but with skateboard handy,,like "hey everyone, today we are headed to downtown because there is a cool skating place etcc......" theres you have a memorable trip video & still staying on skateboard topic .,.,just an idea
