Unable to disable Monetization on certain videos

Hello again

I just found out, this video here: youtube(com)/watch?v=yxOvTKirxUc
...has ads in it (right side and one over the video).

Can anyone explain me why? I don't have the $ sign next to this video at all. It was uploaded via the Call of Duty MW3 Theater Mode. Can I see who claimed/monetizated it anywhere?
 
Thanks Frankie. I don't want to earn money from the video, I just don't want to get in trouble for it having ads on it which I didn't place! How can I see a content ID match? Or am I not able to anyway?

Go into your channel settings and view 'account status' which is a link on the first page you come to. You should have something under Content ID Claims or something similar. They used to show it really clearly, but it's not so obvious any more it seems that they're just sneaking them quietly in.
 
Content ID claims just says "Good standing" :/ I remember when you could see them on the Video itself, but I can't seem to find it anywhere :/

Hmm, it may not have caught up yet. Nowadays it does seem that rather than kicking up any kind of fuss they are just slapping ads on people's videos. But the reason you have it is because there is no commentary. This is a requirement under YouTube's Terms of Service. Technically, you should remove it because you do risk a copyright strike. To be on the safe side to prevent it happening, always add commentary to a gaming video :)
 
Thanks for your help Frankie! The thing is, I could not do a commentary on these videos. As they are Video Clips uploaded from within the games Theater Mode (MW3) You could link your Gamertag to your YouTube Channel and upload it to yours. But if I don't monetize a video I don't have the risk of a copyright strike, or do I? Damn, I am confused :/

Yes you do. The commentary requirement is regardless of monetisation. It's silly, but basically adding commentary makes it 'fair use', but not using commentary makes it copyright infringement. Even games that allow you to monetise, such as Minecraft, require commentary on the video.
 
What? That makes no sense to me, the game offers me to upload videos directly to youtube and it gives me the risk of a copyright strike??
 
Your Content ID standing will only go red under Account features if you have global block Content ID claims which is rare. :)
