Turning off banner ads on a video?

Help!

I need confirmation on something I just told a client. They requested their video play without ANY advertisements. Of course I turned off all of the "Ad Formats" under "Claiming options" but there's still a banner that appears on the video page, next to the video.

There's no way for me to eliminate that ad, right? Isn't that YouTube's domain?

Try going there and selecting "Do not show any advertisements beside my videos".

Thanks Gaffer, but I did that an hour ago and haven't seen a difference. But I know YouTube likes to delay things

If you go into your settings and in the overview section you will find an Advertisements question. Hope that helps! ^0^

D'oh!

So my problem was in the "usage policy," were I'd set it be be monetized, despite taking down pre-roll and the overlay ads. That, apparently, allowed YT to place the banner ad. Mystery solved!
