Thoughts On Monetizing Through Online Platforms?

Hello fellow Youtubers:

What are your thoughts on uploading our videos on online platforms such as Pivotshare, VHX, etc?

These online platforms basically allow you to create your own branded channel and you can choose from a subscription, rental, or download option or a combination of them all to charge audiences. I really like Pivotshare because of their clean look and they have a TON of features...and it's free.

What do y'all think? Is this the future of online media?

So wait, I'm confused. Are they a video-hosting site, like YouTube, DailyMotion or blip.tv? Or is it something else?

Think Youtube...but replace all those Youtube logos with your own pictures and your logos. As far as monetizing goes, they actually have payment option buttons where your customers can just purchase it right there from the channel. So basically, it's just a cleaner, much safer, and direct way to make money with your cool videos.

The main benefit of YouTube is the large audience. Of course getting spotted can be hard when new, but it isn't any easier on those platforms, plus their audiences are smaller so even if you 'hit it big' you are never going to be anywhere close to even a the #1000th youtube channel
