The big question - What language should one choose? (Please advice)

OK, So I'm not that dumb - if I want a reach to the big masses, I should do all my content in English. BUT, right now I mostly use my channel as a documentary of the "story behind the photograph" in the Swedish market.

Seeing that the Swedish top Youtubers are kinda lame in comparison with the huge (English speaking ones), and I'm guessing my channel will be at the bottom of the league I choose. Isn't it better to be at the bottom of a Huge league instead of the bottom of a junior league?

Kind of "aim for the stars, reach the grass" - mentality? Do I make sense? No? Maybe? :) I don't know!!

I'm trying out different strategies, and right now I started adding subtitles to some of my "better" videos, but the traffic is so low, I can't figure out if it helps or not.

So, you guys with more subscribers - what's your experience?
 
It can be extremely hard to grow now because YouTube is very saturated with photography related channels. Obviously English language will help because it's popular around the world, By researching population numbers of Countries it's clear how big of an audience you will be catering to if speaking English. US population = 330 million,,,,,Sweden = 10 million. English speaking population worldwide might be over 2 billion
