The best render settings - 720p and 1080p - Vegas Pro 12

Introduction

Hello everyone, I decided to make a thread for this after seeing the ridiculously high guesses some people were giving as a response to my thread: Guess the render time. I've decided to share them with you so you can get very fast render settings which are great quality and only takes on average 6-7 mins for a 720p video and double that for a 1080p video that is around 10-15 minutes long.

I'm going to do this in the form of steps which you can follow the screenshots and copy the settings as you go.

And that is pretty much it.

Few more words of advice:

When rendering, leave your computer alone to make it render quicker. If you have any programs up such as Chrome or anything which uses up a lot of CPU and GPU power. It will slow it down a lot. So don't have anything open and running. The only programs I have in use when recording is Skype and Steam. I've found that I can type on Skype and it doesn't really affect the speed of rendering. But opening chrome and webpages will significantly slow down the render time.

EDIT: Please note I use the same settings for both 720p and 1080p. I just change the resolution. :)
 
thank you i was in the middle of rendering a video that would of took 20 minutes i cancelled and changed to these setting and it took 5 minutes THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
 
Where the hell was this when I couldn't get my stuff to render right! Lol

Ya I figured this out like a week ago was like... oh.... that worked a lot faster. :/ good find!

I've been using these settings since I started. So useful for rendering out Let's Plays. It also makes it so much more convenient.
 
It's probably my settings but tested this out and sony one is still faster for me. for a 3.5 min ontage it was taking about 40 mins to render in main concept. with the sony codec it's about 17. sony also has a new intel quick sync option but oculd never get that to work :(

Im using full range in project settings, 192k audio, color correction, color curves and sharpening fx stuff.

pc specs- intel i7 2.6 oced to 3.8, 16gb ram, 670gtx ftw
 
If you have an i5 + a decent gpu, it will render faster. I have i5-2320 and 6950 1GB and my render only takes like 3-5minutes only. 10minutes is long. Which is if I only render with CPU, it takes 30minutes. xD This only works on Vegas Pro 12 since 11 is so bugged out it cannot use your gpu for rendering.
