It's hard to make out what it is without the need of looking carefully.
Try making the thumbnail a bit lighter to revel more details.

Because when that's smaller, it'll just look like a dark rectangle at a quick glance.

I would move the text to the lower-left, where the background picture is least important.

Maybe choose a more exciting scene from the video? The screen you captured seems kinda plain without context.
