Jack of All Trades
I don't make any decisions lightly. I've read just about every single thing I could find through the search on this site about Fullscreen and it seems like a good idea for me.
Here's my situation.
I started on Twitch.tv to build up a great community with an active fan base to help us promote our indie film stuff. The twitch stream blew up overnight on me and then I really started realizing how great our little community was over there. I changed my focus a bit to enriching the community which in turn has led to an AMAZING fan base even though it's still small. When I stream new games I can sometimes get around 500 to 600 viewers on Twitch concurrently.
I realized recently that putting out one episode of a web series every 2 weeks to a month (because they are a LOT of work) isn't good enough to keep people involved on YouTube so I started editing/uploading this massive list of games that I've beaten and recorded while playing them on Twitch. Now the YT channel is getting very active viewers from outside of our Twitch base, which is great.
Our primary GOAL is to become big with our Web Series and our Indie tv show (that's been in production for a year now) more so that gaming stuff. The gaming stuff is because that's what a lot of our audience comes from and they enjoy that content as well.
Having said all this, I don't do this stuff for the money at all. I don't NEED to monetize my gameplay videos and never have. Can I benefit from Fullscreen? I was assured by the representative that for web series content like mine, there can be and will be forms of promotion for us within Fullscreen that can help out.
Let me know what you think, especially if you have any real experience with them.
Thanks for your time!
