I've Got It
This thread is for anyone who has been accepted to a Network and is thinking:
"I signed the contract last week why have I not heard back?"
"I'm still waiting for [insert Network here] to counter-sign my contract"
"Why is [insert partnering process here] taking so long?"
"It's been 4 days since I got accepted should I send an email?"
The answer is to be patient.
I just went through this process and had those same thoughts go through my head.
Let me share my timeline for how long this process takes.
Step 1) March 23, 2013. I applied for a few networks. Some networks sent me "accepted" or "denied" emails anywhere from 24 hours - 6 days after I applied.
Step 2) March 29, 2013. I signed my contract. I was told to wait until the representative from the Network counter-signed at which point I would receive a copy.
Step 3) April 9, 2013. I received the counter-signed copy of the contract. No more instructions on what to do next. Google helped me know I was to wait for a CMS email.
Setp 4) April 15, 2013. I received an email letting me know I would receive another email sometime in the next few days letting me know if I am "truly" accepted or denied partnership. (They have to make sure your account can be integrated to the Networks CMS)
Step 5) April 16, 2013. I received an email from BOTH YouTube and the Network CMS that I was accepted and invited to Integrate with their CMS. The email also instructed me how/to send an email to their CMS team when it shows me verified on my YouTube Dashboard.
Step 6) April 16,2013. I was verified the same day and sent the email to my Networks' CMS that I was accepted.
Reflection & Still to come:
As you can see this took quite a bit of time. Slightly over 3 weeks from when I applied until I was verified. I am still waiting for them to finished setting up the Dashboard and for a representative from the Network to contact me to set up my payment information.
Some networks may get through this faster than others, but as a general overview it WILL take some time. Do NOT expect to apply, get accepted and be on your way making millions in a day. (If you thought that you may not have made it this far down the thread)
If anyone else would like to post their own experience of becoming partnered, please do! This is just one example of the process. For anyone wondering I am partnered with N4Gtv.
