songs lyrics monetization

hello guys hopefully everybody feels happy and free before long weekend and school :) i have a question am i gonna be able to monetize songs lyrics like i write the lyrics say for Eminem songs like for the famous songs which are not my own songs , i see money people monetize them so i wonna make sure and see if it is possible to do that :)

I don't think you can monetize songs that are not yours. You can see ads on other music videos because they are claimed by the copyright holder. Even cover songs you can't monetize them unless you have permission.
 
No because you don't own the rights to the song.

Those people who have those videos monetized either a) got lucky, and YouTube didn't catch it (unlikely) b) The company who owns the content claimed it, and all the money from that video goes straight to them.

Just don't make those types of videos. If you don't own the rights to upload it, then you shouldn't be uploading it.
 
The rules for use of copyright are pretty simple. Did you create it? If yes, then you're fine. If no, then did you get permission from the person or company who owns it? If yes, you're fine. If no, no you don't get to use it.

There are intricacies to it, but that's basically how most copyright law works.

You can't monetize a video with content that you don't own it. Otherwise, your account might get suspended. It's still same thing if you buy the songs.....
