So confused. EDIT: CreatorX vs. RPM

So only recently I've only decided that I'm going to take my YouTube channel to a serious level (after creating my account 4+ years ago >.<)

Right now I've monetised my account/videos and I've linked my AdSense account to my YouTube account (although I have yet to verify my bank account to it though) - I need to unlink my account to adsense before partnering right?

My channel will mostly be based around the computer e.g commentaries, gameplays, benchmarks but I will be doing the occasional vlog etc - so my channel will be pretty much multi-purpose.

However because of this, it means I can't get into any of the gaming networks right?

I'm just so confused :( + What should I do to progress my channel?

I know I'm not exactly 'big' (I have quite a lot of views compared to my subscriber count) but meh.

If you want to get partnered with a network, then your adsense link to Youtube will be disabled during the partner process.

"I need to unlink my account to adsense before partnering right?"
No. Like Shane said, your network will do it for you.

Only if you have video game play without commentary. Unless you have copyrighted music, or gameplay without commentary on your videos you shouldn't have any problems getting into a Network is you meet their views, and other quality standards.

How about benchmarks? but I guess that'll be gameplay without commentry black and white.
Also, I have copyrighted videos at the moment, when i partner, will I have to delete them?

Do you suggest any networks?

Truth is you can have copyrighted gameplay and be partnered, you just need commentary. If that wasn't the case there would be no gaming channels pre-partnership. Is it against the copyright rules, yes it is.

However if you're volume is low, you have no cut scenes and you do commentary you can be partnered. That's just a fact. No, you wouldn't have to delete your copyrighted gameplay for partnership if you do the things I've just outlined, but it is agaisnt the rules partners look the other way. Creator X and Fullscreen moderator for this very forum (fullscreen section) says "it should be alright if there is commentary".

However, music copyrighted music needs to be deleted before applying. Now, there is a thread around here somewhere that AJBB started with games that legal to play and monetize without copyright worry, you might want to seek that out.

I'm a member of Fullscreen/creatorX and removed many videos with music before I applied. I do not have a gaming channel but I've learned a couple of things around here.

Yes, you cannot have any copyrighted content unless you have permission to use it.
I suggest you take a look at CreatorX or RPM.

aww ok then :<

CreatorX vs RPM? Opinions?

Also, I hear all this CPM jargon...
I also hear that it means the rate of x per 1000 views?
Is that right?

Yes, so for e.g. you may be offered $1 per 1000 views you gain, depending on your contract.
CreatorX is a sub-network of Fullscreen and they're both for general stuff.
RPM is a sub-network of Maker Studios which is also for general stuff, but Maker has some gaming specialised networks under them which may interest you - NG4TV or TGS.
They are both entry-level and contracts may differ in terms of channel potential, current audience levels etc. etc. so it's hard for me to say which is better between these two. I'm not sure what CPMs they offer but RPMs requirements are generally an average of 80-100 views per day whereas CreatorX may accept you if they think you have good potential **I think**
RPM has unlimited CPMs and premium ads whereas CreatorX has good support, sponsored videos and promotes on VidStatsX.
Both have royalty-free music libraries ^_^

Could I audioswap instead? or is it delete or don't partner.

What do you suggest I do with the videos (that/if I do delete)?

bump? (not entirely sure if i'm allowed to)

Any more opinions on RPM vs CreatorX? Anyone had experience with any of them?
Any other suggestions?
Is is possible to audioswap via YouTube instead of deleting a video straight up?
