Smaller MCN takes two of Machinima's biggest partners

Found this kinda interesting : tubefilter.com/2013/10/14/seananners-syndicate-project-machinima-omnia-media/

it's very unusual for such big channels to join smaller MCNs, wonder what they offered those two o.O

It's not that much of a reach for channels to sign with Omnia. They have a decent reputation and their office is very close to Fullscreen, Maker, Big Frame and Collective, so they're always on my list when my contract is up for renewal.

Machinima has been slowly going downhill for sometime. Newer networks are starting up because they are seeing what the bigger MCN's are doing wrong and seeing what they can do to offer options for YouTubers. It doesn't surprise me at all.

I am sure that they offered them amazing contracts. Also, Omnia is not that small. They have another channel with 1 million subs, and a couple with 6 figures. Often slightly smaller guys can offer better things for these mega channels. Machinima's biggest incentive to join was always their reputation and their hub channels. When your channel gets 100x the view of the hubs they become worthless, and that reputation is long gone. They are also known to have low CPM averages. I would not doubt to see more mega-channels moving to these "smaller" MCNs soon. I have heard that IGN has plans to shut down its partner program (about 50% sure this is true...), so I would assume those guys will spread out amongst the various MCNs big and small. Also, I can tell you Syndicate is making some bank. Look at the house he is building! He showed it in one of his vlogs. It is only like 1/4 done, but it looks amazing.

slowly downhill? It goes faster down than a guy jumping down off a skyscraper.
