Should I become a partner?

could try applying for a small youtube network and then if you channel goes bigger, apply for a better network.

I don't know if understand the question. What kind of control do think Networks have over your channel?

All they do is have a revenue share off your earnings and have you in a contract (Depending on the network) some networks let you leave at any time

Like you have to sign the contract, then with people like machinima who control what you upload, my youtube means a lot to me so.

Most Networks let you still be the full controller of your channel, its not like they'll make you wear a suit and tie in all of your videos and upload in an orderly schedule, haha, but its something to talk with the network about and read over the contract to understand how that'll all work out.
