Should I allow monetize my videos? :S

I don't really get how it works and have no idea why youtube offered me in the first place. Or does everyone get offered this? I'm so confused :S

I know that ads gets money but doesn't that only work when you have thousands of views? I barely have 50...

It says that it'll promote my videos too but will it actually work?

I dont see many benefits in it but many people seem to be talking about it.

Tips?
 
i would recommend waiting til you get a partnership before monetizing, the amount of money you would get before having a decent amount of views and subscribers is pretty much pointless anyways plus you ahve a risk of being click bombed, which would ban your adsense account making it near enough impossible to get your channel partnered later on. best just to wait :)
 
I personally would wait it out. I have experience with disabled adsense, you are far more safe with networks than a monetized partner.
 
Basically, theres not a whole lot of point unless you are getting thousands of views, because you're jsut not going to make any money.

It's nice to have the option to earn a few extra quid, but I've earnt about 30p in the last month, so it's not really worth it.
 
Just sign up for it anyway, after that you can automatically turn it off, also even if you have it tuned off on any of your videos you can get custom thumbnails! :D
