should a vlog channel accept TGN invite or apply elsewhere?

hi guys. i'd like to ask a question about partnering a youtube channel - now this isn't for me, it's for my UK mate. he has this airsoft blog type channel (vlog is the best way i can describe it) and a site for that blog too... i did several intros and animation things for him, we are on good terms. now he knows i recently got partnered with vultra (i have a gaming channel).... and he also knows i don't hide my dissatisfaction with several aspects of how it went (the partnership process).

he says he got an email invite from TGN .... now i don't really have experience to answer if TGN is any good for him.

i reach out to the community to
#1 - maybe TGN isn't the network for his vlog type airsoft channel? it's a gaming network after all yes?
#2 - does it pay in % or earned revenue and if so how much?
#3 - what kind of an exit clause does it have (i got burned when partnering myself, although i was expecting the length of time)?

i think it's about time. he's a good guy.
his channel is yosser65 i believe

No. The services & tools in TGN are made for GAMERS, not vloggers. You won't fit in. But, if you really want to , go ahead. You'd be better off with a non-gamer network. :)

I would say that it'd be for the best for him to look elsewhere. George had a vision when he was with it to make it acceptable for all types of channels. When he left his vision went with it. Now it is entirely gaming and no real slot for anybody doing other than gaming content.

The last I heard TGN was doing 100 percent payout giving the partners 100 percent of their earnings. However, TGN does not receive 100 percent of what the youtuber earns they receive I believe 70 percent. So in reality you are only getting 70ish percent of what you make.

When I was with TGN they had an opt out program initiated because the network changed to gaming content. This means you could leave whenever you wanted. However now that it is know that it is strictly a gaming network their policy may have changed. This was just to give non gamer youtubers a way to get out since TGN no longer had anything for them.

Keep in mind what I said was from back in January. I'd do my research and look closer into it if he does decide to stick with them. However, they are definitely not a network for YouTubers who do not create gaming content.

okay then if not TGN, what would be good for an airsoft vlog type channel? (remember this is for my mate, i have a partnered gaming channel)

replies are appreciated! thanks

These are some of the many networks that are non-gaming :)
Fullscreen (my network)
ZoominTV
RPM (not recommend , but ok)

Please abuse the search bar. :)

I personally have nothing bad to say about N4Gtv. They've done a lot for my channel. I don't have much knowledge of the other networks though.
