Renaming channel / persona thoughts

Qwikstreet

Liking YTtalk
This is for my existing gaming channel as well as other online gaming personas like Twitch etc. For well over 20 years I've been using the same online name for all my platforms and social media. (aka Qwikstreet) I've been wondering if I should push towards a different name for a number of reasons when it comes down to stuff like my YT channel. I am wondering if pushing more towards my real first name is the route to go and curious on your thoughts. My channel and following across the different environments is small.

Some reasons:
1. I've been mostly doing sim racing where the games, communities, and leagues use real life names. So even if I stream or post content as Qwikstreet my Eddie F******* appears somewhere during the races.
2. I've been slowly getting involved in some sim racing projects that will make my real name a little more public. Ones where I may need to give out social media information and curious if its easier to do some variant of Eddie instead of reminding people how to correctly/incorrectly spell qwik - street.
3. I mainly play racing or simulation games so the days of being a FPS worthy opponent and needing a cool YourMomma1337 username is no longer needed.
4. I'm getting too old to be this quick/qwik...

If you feel comfortable having your name publicly out there, then do it.
If you don't like the spelling of your channel, then do it
If you think you've out grown the name, then do it.

It's becoming very common for people to use their real name or a name closer aligned to their real name.

DO IT

On the other hand if you like your username and it still fits and you don't mind the spelling. Keep it. and or maybe just update Qwit to be QuickStreet

To be fair, I've been thinking about the same thing. From dropping the numbers from my username or dropping the -kid suffix. but kid rock calls himself kidrock still lol so idk.
It's very valid questions.
