Re-Done background and new avatar!

Gaming, Lego and Food and Water. I could survive.
Please tell me what you think :).
Te background underwent a few changes and I created a new avatar which I like but am not sure if it is good or not.
Please leave your feedback.
 
I like the gradient a lot better .. it was black before right .. Are the icons and text all on another layer that you can easily reposition over the gradient? If so, the only suggestion I would make is to shift it slightly up and to the right. That way your avatar does not overlap the hunger icon and the link icon nav doesnt cover the project title.
 
My avatar-On my screen-Does not overlap the HungerGames logo. But the link kinda do overlap the Project Ares text.
 
I've now moved it up so the links don't affect the text.
