Rate my channel banner? And looking for someone to create a free logo

Hi, please have a look at my channel banner (I know it's just 2 images meged with the name on it). But how do you guys like the idea?
Does it look neat and matches with what I do?
And I am also looking for someone who can create a logo for me for free.

I say 7/10. It's nothing that will make you stand out, but it does look good. That said, I'd try and make the images flow better, the middle ground is very obvious. A logo would really complete it though

The background is fine, just the text, try to make it stand out, some effects might help, and a much better font, you can find some good fonts at http://www.dafont.com/ . As for effects, if you're using PS there might be some good tutorials out there.
