Rate my background/avatar?

Hey everyone!
I've been looking around on this site a good bit and it seems you're all fairly knowledgeable on just about everything!

I'd appreciate it if you guys could point out some flaws with my gfx.

Shoot me down as hard as you can, I'm ready for it, promise!
(Also sorry for posting this thread in the wrong place the first time! I'm a noob )

It looks pretty good. Although the new layout will be forced at the end of this month(the 21st I believe) so you might want to work on that .

I think it looks good And as Matias said above ^ The new layout is going to be forced soon, and it's getting rid of the background.

Noted! I think I'll procrastinate just a little bit on the banner though

Does anyone notice anything to fix?
Is the icon too noisy, background too purple, etc?

Even subtle things would be nice, don't be shy to criticize
