Hi guys.
So there has been something that has been irritating me for the past while, and that is how everyone conforms to society. Whenever I used to hear people say that I always groaned and it irritated me, but now that I have thought a bit more about it- I have found it to be incredibly true.
People think down this one track path that society has given us and everything else not on that path is wrong. This was the thought that inspired the video “My South African Dream”
The American dream is where a person reaches a successful status and has everything important as deemed by society, but what about people who aren’t wealthy or have stacks of cash at their disposal? Do we rule them, out of being happy and content just because they don’t earn well?
And this is the part that most people don’t understand: You CAN still be happy.
A while back I did a mission trip up north of Cape Town to KZN where I went to help out in the community and build houses. I was shocked on arrival as to me these people had nothing – yet they were so content.
Being up there separated from the urban world just went to show and back up my point about happiness.
To me following my dream us about finding happiness and being content with where I am in life.
It’s just something to think about, enjoy the video
