Question about transition to an MCN.

Posting Mad!
Hey guys I was wondering something.

I'm currently using regular adsense and starting the process to join an MCN. According to them it will take about a week or less for my videos to start showing up for them.

For that duration of the week what happens to the revenue? Does it still go to my adsense or will it not count at all?

There should be no delay. They are being lazy in adding you to their system. Generally larger networks get lazy about sending the invite (appears as a email from google, saying ____ network has invited you, here is an accept link). If this is the sort of message you're waiting on, the revenue in the mean time will still belong to your adsense.

After you get in, there can sometimes be a delay in claiming the videos, but this is a lot more uncommon. Typically this is done automatically but sometimes there are issues.

What network are you joining?

Ah thanks for the explanation. I'm joining channel frederator (cartoon hangover) which is a new MCN mainly aimed at animators.

I've found that sometimes people don't receive the email. But the link request is sitting in their youtube.com/dashboard already.

an MCN can invite you and bulk claim all your videos in like > 5 minutes :p

You can bulk monetize your videos in less than 5 minutes now as well. Check all, Actions, Advanced, Usage Policy, monetize, next page, repeat. ;) I prefer networks that don't bulk monetize everything. Channels shoudl have the ability to choose what to monetize and what not to.
