Question about reuploading videos

Suppose I get a copyright strike and I have to take my video down for a couple of weeks. After the few weeks I can re-upload it. I'm wondering how I can re-upload my video and still preserve all the likes, comments, views etc from the previous version of the video that got flagged for copyright? I've seen other YouTubers do it but I don't know how.

You've seen other YouTubers do it eh? More likely, they never took the video down and got the copyright strike handled in a different way. There is no way to reupload a video and transfer stats from a different video to it.

I have never heard the fact that you can transfer views and comments, once the videos is taken down, everything is gone.
