Hellooo
In my mind Collaborations with other You Tubers is a great way to reach a wider audience on YouTube and also to expand into different areas of YouTube that you may never thought of before, but there must be Con's to collabs with other You Tubers, right?
What are your thoughts?

The con would probably be the amount of work necessary be put into the video, then deciding how best to connect and work with them. It's also likely to be difficult going back to making videos alone after enjoying a pleasant social collaboration.

Thanks man
I can see it being alot of work especially for gaming collabs as you may need to have footage from the two or maybe three players. But surely for Vloggers it is made easy as they can meet up and just record footage from one camera, the only thing that may be a problem with Vloggers is the editing after they record.

Yes I've attempted gaming collabs before nd it is a pain trying to sync the audio and video... It's easier to just make two videos; one for each channel so there's two POV. For vloggers though they'd have to actually meetup. We're in a global community so a channel that I'm a huge fan of could be located in Los Angeles California while I'm on the East Coast of the U.S.

Time and reliability
You first have to find someone willing to collab with you, then figure out what the video will be about and how it all will be done, then make the actual video, edit it and so on. On top of that, unless you know someone really well, you have a chance of it turning into a total failure. You need to find someone reliable and it's not always easy if you only know the person through a forum or a few videos. I like doing live shows with guests on it and I often ran into problems as far as reliability goes. People are late, forget about the show, forget to research the topic or simply lie about their knowledge in a certain subject just to get themselves invited thinking that it'll get them more views.

Depending on people is the con. Them not doing their part is a con. Having them get the far better side of the deal is a con.
