Preparing for my new series of videos

I plan on starting a new series of videos where I portray a 1940s-style journalist (fedora with press pass in it, suspenders, rolled up sleeves, loose tie, fast talker, etc.) who sums up news stories from newspapers with sarcastic and snarky comments. They will basically be vlogs with two shots, one head on and one form the side. They will also be in black and white.

I haven't written a script yet, but I think I'm going to call the videos "Have ya heard the news?"

Any suggestions about what I could do to really make them funny/over the top?
