A couple of friends of mine have been involved in videogame let's play projects with voice-overs and I kinda wanna do one of my own... But I'm more into comics... and Turtles... so how about a read-along fandub of the IDW TMNT comic series?
I was wondering if anyone would be interested to take part in this. I'll most likely be Mikey and possibly Old Hob. The advantage of all this is that the IDW Turtles will be their own thing so if you wanna take part, you don't HAVE to try to imitate a character's voice from the tv shows, try to give them the voice you feel fits the character.
What I would need is voice actors and someone that can send me scans of the comics since I kinda dun wanna bend my comics back and such as I cram them in the scanner.
For now I got Mikey and possibly Old Hob, my girlfriend can try out to be April (after I show her the differences between IDW April and Nick2012 April) and my brother will do the random thugs that work for Old Hob during that opening scene.
I'll see what I can do, but for now the main focus is just issue 1 of the IDW series and we'll see after that. First and foremost I'm curious as to who is interested and such. I'll also work on Old Hob and ask for opinions. I'll also see what I can do about sound effects, though I'm not sure about background music since the 'episodes' will be on Youtube.
For those that don't know, this comic series started last year, and their first story is a 4-parter called Change is Constant. The main story deals with Splinter and Leo, Mike and Don looking for Raphael, who has been missing since the day they mutated. Along the way there's flashbacks to their origin, as well as other characters like April, Baxter and Casey entering the scene. For those that want to take part, but haven't read or own the comics, I'll be sending you scripts. After I finish the script and such I'll list the characters I need voice actors for. I'm kinda anxious to how this will go, so let me know if you're interested ASAP.
