Harpuia
That "creepy" guy that makes Youtube videos.
This is pretty simple:
Every Sunday I do something on my channel called Pokemon Spotlight. My channel is a generic indie gaming channel but we have a huge Pokemon audience, many of them tinted in the competitive scene, and while none of us are really that competitive, I do try to push an in-between casual/competitive flavor to the spotlight.
Lately, I've noticed that guest spots are big for this, and the reason I placed this in the Other category and not Gaming is because this is one of the few segments where I have brought in Youtubers from multiple genres (including comedy, vlog, and music channels). And I felt like I would give others the opportunity to take their shot in the pokemon spotlight.
This is also an opportunity for me to get to meet new friends as well.
I would like to bring in a guest every week until I go to MAGFest February 18th, and I already have 1, maybe 2 spots filled. So that means that I'm wanting at least 5 people for a spotlight to guest every week between January 3rd to February 14th. (Oh God, now I know exactly what pokemon to get on February 14th, but I digress).
Requirements:
- Required: Must be a pokemon fan. You don't have to be super-competitive, you don't even have to be competitive. You just have to be familiar with (or willing to learn) certain pokemon as well as pokemon "lingo" (such as Smogon OU, VGC, EVs, etc.)
- Required: A clear microphone and webcam. No static, minimal echoing and minimal grainy feed on the camera. If you need a good example, you can check out some of the spotlight guests in the past I've done with on my channel.
- Required: The capable tools to make short video segments on webcam usually totaling no more than 60 seconds in length as well as audio segments on Audacity or any other recording program (I must be able to read the audio file on my Movie Studio).
- Required: Skype.
- Recommended, not required: Have at least 350 subscribers. This is just general, not concrete . If you are under 350, I'm not going to automatically disqualify you. If you have a good voice, you're dynamic and your channel is well-presented, I wouldn't care if you had 2 subscribers. You'd be in. But having over 350 would definitely help.
- Recommended, not required: Be older than 16. Again, this is recommended, not required, and if you are good enough, you can even be 11 and I wouldn't care.
To apply just put down:
- Name
- Channel Name
- Genre of Channel
- Channel Link (if it's not in your signature already)
- Age
- Email
- Skype
- Twitter (if you have one)
MegaCrasher, thejuzey, and natnip don't need to apply since they're already regulars.
Sorry this was so long everyone. I didn't mean to make it look all professional.
