Hi All, I just created my own background using photoshop, it's kind of basic, but if you could just look at it and give me some tips on improving it, that would be great thanks in advance.

It's a pretty cool background in my opinion...

I think you could add some Gradient to the background...using the gradient tool (Press G, or left click the Paint Bucket tool and select Gradient Tool)

Would you recommend a diagonal, horizontal, or vertical gradient? I'm testing out all three.

I recommend a Radial Gradient....

When click on the gradient tool change the mode!

It looks fine to me, I agree with Michael a radial gradient in the middle that is quite large in a softer blue than the rest would look cool.
