Partnerships FAQs

I've Got It
I've been following many threads in this part of the forum for quite a while and there's some really good stuff hidden away in each of the threads but I think it would be great if it was all brought together in one threads and maybe make it a sticky.

I'm currently looking into Partnerships but finding all the information and jargon a little confusing so could we have an FAQ for it (and maybe a monetization one as well).

Anyway I'll kick it off in this thread and see if it pick up any traction. Ask a simple and get a simple answer from one of the may people on this forum who are partners.

Could someone explain CPM, the benefits and negatives?
CPM stands for "cost per 1000 impressions." Advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served and pay each time their ad appears.
As a publisher, you'll earn revenue each time a CPM ad is served to your page and viewed by a user. CPM ads compete against cost per click (CPC) ads in our ad auction, and we'll display whichever ad is expected to earn more revenue for you.

Cool, I've added that to the top post in the thread. A second questions regarding this then. A large marjority of my views are from mobile sources so are those included in page impressions. Don't some partners pay out according to CPM rather than CPC? This would mean I would prefer a a CPC rather than CPM?
