Nothing, you can apply for networks if you want, just not sign the contract.

People often apply for other networks towards the end of the contract. to consider their options if they ever want to leave.

In general, networks aren't supposed to negotiate with anyone under a contract though although you could ask something like ''in theory, someone in my similar situation...'' etc.

you can only be with one network. Applying for multiple is fine though. As long as you don't sign anything or accept a network invitation you'll be all good
