Partnership queries.

Loving YTtalk
1. Pro's & Con's?
2. Do you submit a video to your network and they upload it but give you a commission?
3. Do large channels with millions of subs (RWJ, Smosh, Tobuscus etc.) have partnerships?

Sorry for the derpy questions, I'm just struggling a little in understanding what it actually is.
cheers.

1. Pros: Networks provide perks such as: Forums (Promote your videos, find people to collab with, find strategies to grow your channel, Audio Libraries, Licences, Campaigns, Higher paying ads, promotion..) That's just what I can think of. [Note that not all networks provide everything I listed. Different networks provide different things]
Cons: Cut pay.

2. No. Networks don't upload any of your content. Some networks may promote your videos (don't count on this though).

3. Yes.

1. Pro's and Con's depend on what network you're looking at. In general a pro would be higher CPM's (more money per click), and a con would be that you're signed to someone, I guess.

2. No, you upload the video then you have to "claim it". Which means you basically monetize it.

3. Yes most of them have partnerships with networks like Fullscreen, Maker, Machinima, etc.

Feel free to ask if you have any other questions! :)

The Pro's and Con's greatly vary depending on which network you go with, some will give you higher paying ad's whilst others may not. Networks will usually take a decent % cut of your revenue (you can negotiate this better if your getting a high amount of views per day). Never rely on networks purely for exposure because its very rare that they can promote you unless your lucky.

Make sure you read up on the network properly before you sign with them as some have really poor reputations and it is best to stay away from networks like that.

1) Depends on the network
2) Usually they just take a percentage of the revenue earned by your videos
3) Yes RWJ sure loves his partnership *sarcasm* (look up rwj vs maker studios on google)

Don't some of them allow you to post on their channels e.g Machinima
You have to be a director aswell as a partner for that, and don`t worry Machinima makes sure that your name is at the very bottom of the descriptions of any videos you post on their channels in order to promote themselves firstly.
