Partnership Contract (HELP!)

YTTalk, how you all doing?

I'm in a situation where I'm partnered on a 60/40 split in the last month's I have gained a hell of a lot of views and another Network has offered me 80/20 split. I told my current Network I wished to leave (not just because the revenue share was higher I find it hard to contact them and had to wait a week and sent in 2 emails!) they replied with they would offer me more and upped it to 90/10.

I have been asking what I'll be receiving.. 90% of what? but they keep dodging the question or changing the subject, avoiding it! - What question do I need to ask to find this information out?

Now here's where it gets fishy.. EVERY TIME I ask that question they manage to dodge it or change the subject? Also, they said they would make my new revenue split of 90% active as of the 1st of October (yes, October not November). This, for me is alarming as they are so adamant to keep me, why? I have no idea.

I really need some advice on how to read the contract thoroughly and where it states weather a sub-network will be taking a % as well as the network it's self.

If anyone can advise me in my situation, please reply.

Many thanks, Wizz

I don't know if you're in a no lock-in contract with TGN but in most cases it is because you signed and agreed to serve the network for X amount of years. It's mostly because of the principle of it unless of course you're earning them hundreds of dollars each month which is the obvious reason if you are getting them that much.

Right now, I'm free to leave if I want to, I think the question I should be asking is what CPM will I be on?

If you're free to leave when you want, why not accept their 90/10 offer and see how it goes? Unless the other 80/20 offer expires?

Just leave, it doesn't sound like you're happy. There are networks that could match a 90% revenue share (you'll just get locked in for a little while).

I'm just reluctant to accept and sign anything, right now I'm free to leave but the 90/10 will be a 1 year contract.

It just seem's so odd that they want to offer me the 90/10 from the 1st October (back date my revenue and add an extra 30% on top) but yet, they won't tell me 90% of what? that could be 90% of $0.10 for all I know

Yeah true, this is why I'm worried about joining a network. The money isn't an issue for me, I'd join a network just for a little bit of extra protection, it's the commitment that worries me the most.

TGN arn't a bad network to join.. if you don't care about the money, if you do I'd shop around. you can get a 1 year contract with TGN which isn't long at all.

But if I was you I would check out Curse they payout 90% and have no lock-in. I just applied right now and they offered me a contract online but I emailed to ask some questions first.
