Liking YTtalk
Woke up and find myself over 1K subs. It feels good when over 1k people like and trust my videos. But there is much to learn and improve.
1K subs and 440K views after 8 months, not the best ratio but still not too bad.
What I have learnt over these past 8 months :
1) Stay disciplined. The moment you slack off and don't really keep up to schedule, it's going to affect your momentum and those subscribers that is waiting for your video.
2) Focus on views. Subs comes after views usually. It may be exciting to keep checking sub count every minute and every hour to see it increase by 1, why not use the time to brainstorm for new videos?
3) Reply to comments on your video. Create interaction with your viewers and it feels good to have a content creator reply to them.
4) Learn from constructive criticism and apply them if it helps. It's all towards better video quality for your supporters.
5) There will always be negative comments no matter how hard you avoid. I had some say sometimes I don't speak that clearly. So I tell them that I got a text based review on my website if they they need to read it. Figure out the best way to deal with them, ignore or block. Do the way you are comfortable with.
6) Don't let YouTube overtake your normal life. If you feel that YouTube is affecting your daily life a lot, rethink your priorities. No point getting stressed on both sides, that will eventually drain you.
7) It's a little cliche but enjoy what your are doing. If it feels like work and draggy then think about future of your channel and whether is it worth it to put on time on YouTube.
8) Press on! Let's face it, no one can tell you if you are going to succeed or not. The main factor is you, the content creator. If one day you decide to stop, then go ahead, no one is going to blame you. But at least you tried. There are people who shot to fame with little work or videos but these are rare cases. You can learn from it but don't compare, it's going to make you feel worse. It's a long term journey for most of us and only time will tell if we are going to make it or not.
That's all folks and see you guys when it's 5 digits!
