Not sure exactly where to put this. but...

"its just a jump to the left..."
SO I applied for fullscreen and I REALLY hope to get in...but last I applied I got denied because I had an unmonitized video due to having music playing (dance video)...
but a video I recently filmed (can be done without it) but I really wanted to add a song by LM.c for it
(hint: its a cosplay update in sped up/dressup form)

now Im sad cuz i really want into fullscreen but also really want to use that songggg D:

So wait, you have to monetise EVERY video for them to even consider you? What about the ones where YouTube randomly decided "Herp derp NO!"?

You don't have to monetize anything you don't want to. However they will consider you depending on all of your videos it doesn't matter if it is monetized or not. That is where the issue comes into play with copyrighted music.

you don't need to monetize every video. they accepted me and I even had cover songs on my channel. it has more to do with your subs and views (and if your channel has potential if you're under their standards)

Covers are different arent they though? sort of. they seriously said it was because of the copyrighted song in my video that i didnt get accepted D:

Correct, covers are different. It is a nice rule of thumb to completely avoid copyrighted material if you plan on having a successful channel. Even if you don't monetize it it will still tear down the overall quality of your channel and keep you from getting into networks. Another idea you could do is change the video to unlisted. Reapply and then when you get in then you can turn it back to public but avoid monetizing it like the plague unless you want to be kicked out.

It automatically sets it so you cannot monetize if it recognizes copyrighted music lol which is a good thing i guess. less likely to get in trouble for "attempting to make money off it" LOL
