New Youtuber - Monetization fool

I already knew that some people make money with Youtube, but I have always thought that only big channels could achieve that.. When I joined this Community I saw this forum, that the main subject is "making money" doing videos, I started to read all the threads and learned a few things about becoming a Youtube partner, and networks.
I'm not looking for making money, but just in case I want someday...
I do cover videos, I read the terms of Youtube partnership and there is write that cover videos cannot be monetized, how there is so many famous Cover youtubers that gain money been youtube partners?

PS. Sorry if was hard to understand, I'm from Brazil, and I'm still learning English.

Welcome to yttalk:) and i have got back into doing my youtube videos and it's actually quite enjoyable and at least you read over all the terms and know what you can and cannot do.. Enjoy the forums and hope to see you around i am always on as long as i got internet..haha
 
Welcome to the forum, as in the case of cover videos you will have a hard time monetizing those, youtube software automatically flags copyrighted music in videos and puts their own ads on it without sharing the revenue with you, in your case you should try to get exposure because you will have a very hard time monetizing your videos.

how I have said before I'm not looking for making money with my videos, it was just a doubt. And is always good know this kind of stuff :D
