Need to be consistent on your upload, but what is consistency?

Posting Mad!
So, I get it, in order to grow on youtube, consistency is a factor out of 100 different things. Whent hey say consistency, how consistent?

Same day every week? same time every week? or say you upload 2 to 3 times per a week, that is enough? but do those 3 videos HAVE to be the same day everyweek?

Im not going to lie, dont care much about growing and im just having fun video editing and riding like I used to when I was younger. but I might as well keep a schedule if I am going to be uploading to YT often.

so what are your thoughts on this? I was thinking Sun, Wed, Friday or SAT

I can't think of a single youtube channel out there which I'm aware of their upload schedule or even if they have one. I subscribe to lots and have favourites but I couldn't say when they upload. The point of the Youtube for me is that you watch what you want when you want to. I don't wanna rewind 30 years back to when there was only 4 channels on the television that you have to tune in for to catch your fave show or miss it. I'm not gonna quit work and drive home or erect a projector on the side of a truck /house to watch something the minute its uploaded. But creators somehow seem obsessed with this question and convinced it affects their success.

yes, it seems, you didn't even repaired your broken link here! hahaha! :p follow this guide--->

let's see your channel and bike for a start!

Youtube gurus and guides are like knowing traffic rules when you go for a dirtbike ride on the hill..
Consistency? Let's see...

The first "how to do a wheelie" in my native language titled and narrated clip got in my suggested (ok, maybe payed, don't know) and 16.000 views at second day...
three months later? let me check... 254.000 views and 37,451 subscribers I can pm you th channel if you have doubts...
Since then, he uploaded 2 vids every month and 4 this one.

Have fun, do your thing and take care! :)

I don't think the exact day of the week is extremely relevant but I can see how spreading uploads like every 3-4 days will work better, especially once you have a community. Seeing this from a viewer perspective channels that upload at least one a week consistently have a better chance to succeed and get viewers in a routine, it is kind of human nature. Even if you have a week where you have the time to get a few videos prepared you can always schedule ahead of time and use as backlog. More power to you if you can upload 3 times a week. The algorithm also likes that consistency.

I am extremely consistent, but lots of people aren't. They will post once or twice a week whenever they finish a video, I am extremely anal about it. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, every video scheduled to post at noon. I don't think it matters, but scheduling keeps me on track so I do it more for me than for anyone else.

haha thanks for the replies! Yeah was just curious because I saw a youtube tip where this advisor checked out his channel and he has been YTTing for about 3 years and although his content is great, he mentioned his consistency is bad. Saw he made 1 video a week then skipped 2 months did 2 video the next month skipped another month and so forth. He mentioned Youtube likes consistency and its one of the key components to grow.

As far as me being consistent, I guess im pretty lucky because I find editing as a hobby. I like editing my dirtbike stuff so dont mind it...but just curious "HOW" consistent my video needs to be lol. ehhh I guess making a schedule aint too bad. Ive decided Sun, Wed and I guess Saturday?

saw this motovlogger as well he had over 4k subs and about 5k - 20k video views then i noticed he started skipping weeks and months and his views dropped significantly

I think quality trumps consistency, I think the consistency thing is more of a personal goal, I do feel the more video's you have the more possible avenues for people to find you and the more likely they are to subscribe but I don't think that the consistency itself is what makes people subscribe. I rarerley post my video's on the same day at the same time but I do try to have a new video every week, some weeks I might get 2 video's up other times it might be a couple weeks. I have weekly video's as a goal but I don't think that posting at the same time on the same days is really a growth element.

I kinda just released whenever everyday since I'm almost at 100 vids my new subs get to binge whatever they want now so I'm thinking in 1 or 2 more completed playthroughs I can slowdown
