my first youtube background

so this is my first youtube background by myself, meaning i did not use any tutorials. im still new to the whole photoshop thing but i hope to get better. this is what i got so far i just need some tips on how to make it better(step by step would be nice, idk how to do a lot of stuff). also i wanted to add a picture to one of the side but i dont know how, every time i try, it gets a white box around the picture im adding in.

Whenever I get stuck on something in Photoshop, I would Google/YouTube it to get some help on it.

I suggest that you should Google and stuff to get the help you need on your background.

this is what i got so far i change the black to a grey so that it doesn't look too dark

im thinking about switching the font for twitter/website since idk it might not look good, its a little hard to tell on this one because i re-size the picture so it doesnt look so big in the post
