I Love YTtalk
I'm glad that I seen this article today and not on April 1st LOL

"In a nutshell, nothing will change in regards to how partners are paid. It just means that from April 1st and beyond, the details of creators’ YouTube earnings will only be available on their channel analytics dashboard and not the AdSense Dashboard."

So if you check Adsense for your money, your YouTube earnings won't be there. You have to go to your YouTube Analytics page. If you don't check Adsense, I understand some of you are part of Networks so it doesn't affect you.

I don't know if I am going to like this or not. When I go to my Analytics, it shows that my earnings this month (Mar 1 to Mar 27) are $550 less than on my Adsense page!

That's the

I typically find adsense is more accurate, as well as up-to-the-hour updated, whereas YouTube Analytics is both delayed and off by a significant margin (typically within + or - 15%)

For people who are YouTube Partners with AdSense, this is a disappointing change.

Well, on one side, I don't make videos for the money, but on the other, I do like to be able to follow my income in AdSense.. :p Well, if there really isn't any change in how we are paid, then I guess it isn't going to be such a big problem? :)

$550 is well within that 15% margin of error.
Congrats on your channel's success!

I have no idea where that error comes from :/ I should add. Some of the difference may turn out to be clicks which turn out to be false clicks later (determined however they do that) but clearly there are other factors at play.

Also Thanks!

Well it is the delay of data that really bothers me. The linked article indicates that 'a well placed source' says the youtube analytics is getting more accurate... which would be nice, but all around the delay of stats in analytics is aggravating.

I am all for accurate analytics. It is important to the content creator as well as to advertisers.

I guess tomorrow's the day that it will go into effect. Did anybody see any reports of this happening other than the New Media Rockstars article?
