More information needed same as strike?

I've Got It
I hear a lot about strikes on here and I have received the more information needed email a couple of times. Are those considered as strikes? Also has anyone submitted the more information and then been approved? I have sent the info 2 or 3 times on different videos and never been approved. I ended up taking the videos down. Does the strike happen if you don't take it down? Can I take out what I think is flagging it and then re upload?

No, the "more information needed" email does not equal a strike. Neither does having a video rejected for monetization. This just means that YouTube isn't fully convinced that you have the sufficient rights to monetize the video. And yes, if you provide the correct information, proving that you have the rights to monetize the video, the video will be approved!

A copyright strike, to my knowledge, can only happen when a third party claims that they own the contents of your videos. ;)
