Monetizing your videos!

Hello fellas.

I recently monetized my videos, and as soon as I did that, i regret it. I saw that you can't become youtube partner if you have monetized your videos.

So, can someone clearly explain to me, how can i disable it. I mean, i disabled it in settings menu, it's fine, and it's all white dollar thingy in video manager, but i'm scared if i did something wrong and i won't be able to become youtube partnership. I disabled it, and i didn't hooked it up with adsence account i think :d

You can still become a youtube partner with it enabled, when you go with a network they will disable it for you :)

What you might of heard of is it takes longer for you to be partners ( 3-5 weeks instead of 24-72 hours :p )
 
Yes I almost got caught in this trap. As far as I can tell you have disabled monetisation for your videos. However if you are not sure, go to video manager and make sure there are no green icons next to your video that have a white dollar sign in them. If you do, they are monetised. But if you do not have the icons at all, your videos aren't monetised. Hope this helps.

OH GOD; thank you all so much, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Just one fast note, i disabled that monitization, but i still have that custom thumbnail ( it's not like i'm complaining or something, i can actually upload my own thumbnails now ), but does that mean that monetization is still enabled, as that was not there before i enabled it for the first time.

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH ALL OF YOU; YOU GUYS ARE BEST! =)

But i have 15 subs, and about 1k views eh? it's small number, but i'm proud, i'm modest at it =)

so, that has nothing to do with me enabling monetization as i disabled it. custom thumbnails will stay ? =)

I changed my thumbnail, but it still stays the same, but when i go in video manager, it's different, when i go back on my youtube channel, it's same as it was?

do i have to wait or what?
