Monetization without AdSense?

So am launching a 2nd channel, and I opted to enable monetization from the get-go, but it didn't ask me to link to my existing AdSense account? Have they completely separated YouTube monetization from AdSense now?

No, you still get paid via adsense. I believe after you enable monetization they will have you link your channel and your account.

You have to go to your monetization settings and check your channel link. You have to manually add it from there. It no more asks you but you have to so it manually, people not aware of the link part dont get cash. Good tactic

Yes and no. Surprisingly they don't ask you to connect your adsense account anymore, but you can't get paid until you do so. It's somewhat hard to find too, you have to go to:
video manager -> Channel settings -> Monetization ->
And then, under "Guidelines and Information" click on the question "How can my videos make money?" to see the answer with a link to connect your adsense.

I believe it is this question, not 100% sure, but it is somewhere on that page...

This is some information i need to know more about myself because i plan on doing the same. I think it is good if you manually do it make sure you got your adsense account publisher id handy. You can find that by logging into your google account and then visiting the google adsense webpage.

You enable adsense through your settings, sometimes youtube makes you sign up for stuff without even knowing how to configure it.

I've looked in my settings and I can't see where to put my AdSense ID ... but I got an email saying my Monetization has been approved? Maybe they will wait until I post my first video?

If your partnered with a Network is it still possible to connect with the same Adsense account, on a second channel let's say if I wanted to connect monetization for it before I told the audience or before uploading a first video.
