Monetization "Under Review" issue

Check your Video Manager. Do you have videos being held under review and are not being monetized? How long have they been held?

Did you upload a video, it got monetized, and then you changed the title, description, or tags and then the monetization changed to "Under Review"?

This is more likely to happen to somebody who is not partnered with a network. With your comment, please state your situation and whether or not you're with a network.

Not with a network. For a long time I had no issues at all. Then it started with my SimCity let's plays. It'***** or miss if they get accepted or not. Then recently one of my vlogs, and 2 of my WoW videos have had issues. One WoW has been under review for several days now. The other was rejected, I provided a link to Blizzards video policy, and now it's "monitoring for possible review". Very frustrating, but I don't get enough views to join a decent network.

Yeah, the issue started in June, was around for a week and a half, came back for about a week each in mid-July, seems to be back again.

I had one go through fine on Monday. Tuesday AM on seems to be stuck.

*shrugs* Honestly, best to just budget for videos not being monetized for a week or two.

Same issue, just started today. been 6 hours and no white $ sign.
Not with a network but I'm seriously thinking about joining one

Hi goose lady =) (It was geese, correct?)
Apparently, many networks have very low entry limits now. While I am trying to have this discussion without creating a hysteria that causes people think they have to be partnered, as far as I know, it only affects YouTube Partners (not network partners).

Just a quick question for you. Your issues with monetization were upon upload, correct? Not because you changed any titles, description, or tags, correct?[DOUBLEPOST=1375243088,1375243057][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's back again?

Yes, so I hear. That's why I am bringing it up so that people check their videos.[DOUBLEPOST=1375243203][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hi Kevin,
Your issues were upon upload, correct? You haven't changed any titles, description or key-words of older videos, have you? If so, how are they?[DOUBLEPOST=1375243333][/DOUBLEPOST]

While this discussion is going to cause some people to think that they should join a network, it is just one of the factors/benefits that they should consider.

In my opinion, YouTube allowing EVERYBODY to monetize their uploads is causing this problem. It is more than they can handle as far as getting videos approved. You'd think that their 45% cut would be enough to pay people to not have this happen.

The back-under-monetization bug was back in June. At least for me, changing metadata hasn't caused anything to go back under since then. I confirmed it on an old video tonight.
