Milestones today! 40 subs and 800 views of my geek videos! ^_^ *proud*

I am just a newbie but I am feeling proud today to have reached 40 subs (and almost all of them aren't people I know or friends or friends but total strangers!) and 800 views!

I am also averaging almost 60% viewing retention which is pretty good for a newbie, as I read the average was 50%? I find it odd that no matter the video length I post (1.45mins up to 6.21mins) on similar topics (comic book movies and scifi movies mainly so far) the retention is always about the same.

I am still trying to improve a lot (any tips or feedback more than welcome) but I am starting to feel like this new hobby might go somewhere.

My next milestone is 100 subs. Then I will feel like I've 'made it'. Although one day I hope to look back and think that's a tiny number lol.

What milestone made you most proud? What milestones mean anything?

Proud of you! Your retention rate will definitely grow along with the time. Congratulations and all the best for 50 subs and more :)

Thanks guys!

Fingers crossed I will get to my next milestone soon.

Any tips you can share, things you think I do well or poorly, or just where I can try harder much appreciated. I think my latest video compared to my first is better in content, audio quality (and, as I didn't intend to actually publish my first attempt, my hair since it's unbrushed and full of static in first video!)

I don't even know where I want to go with this. I guess I just want to do it for fun, I'm talking to people about getting them on so it's not just my ugly mug staring at a camera like a rabbit in headlights every time too! If I have guests it's like a real show right? lol

Anyway. Thank you for your support. Here's hoping I can get better at this soon so I can keep my current kind set of subscribers in content (now 41!!!), and get some new people watching too :)

The biggest piece of advice I can give is to be consistent and try to improve or do something new in every video you upload. Those two things will help you gain subscribers and make it fun for you.

Congratulations on your achievement/milestone! Here's to many more!
