This storm was putting out 100 to 120 MPH straight line winds for several minutes and it all lasted a few hours. 1000s and 1000s if not hundreds of thousands of trees in southern IL were uprooted, 2 people died and there were quite a few injuries, we were out of power for 5-10 days, all age curfews were set in place by Emergency Management and it did an enormous amount of damage to southern Illinois (where I live).
