Quick question:

I have a video that has has matched 3rd party content; Can this video make money still if I do not acknowledge their claim? What if I do not acknowledge the claim?

Thanks for the help

Jack

If you claim the video or monetize it, the money will go to the person that owns the copyright content...if you acknowledge the content that is... if you try to fight it, you have to show proof you have the right to use it or that the claim against you is false....

I would delete that video, as if you keep it and expect to make money from it. You may risk your YouTube channel getting copyright strikes.

Having 3rd party matched content, is what I used to have on some of my videos. Due to this I gained 1 copyright strike, I have deleted these videos. YouTube say's that I need to wait up to 6 months for my channel to become copyright free!

In fact we do not have a chance to claim or monetize such video (monetization/claim buttons inactive/gray) - they are monetized automatically (ads are shown) and revenue goes to the original content owner, whose content is matched.
