Other Making Collabs Without Meeting

So my friend and I have a popular fan page twitter (for Worldoftheorange) and through this we have had a follower who's interested in doing a collab with us. We've been making videos on our channel for over a year but have never done a proper collaboration before, so we are kinda up for doing one. However, this girl lives down south (near London I believe) and we live up North, so unless we wait until SitC next year, an actual physical collaboration in person isn't really an option. However, we don't know how to go about making a collab video without meeting (but have seen it done before).

Has anyone got any ideas of how to go about this regarding our situation?
 
Ive not done a collab yet however if i was you i would consider either using skype and record each other : Both record your own videos and combine them into one big one: or use a chroma key and delete your background so it looks like your both in the same room.

If any of these ideas you think u may consider or need more help on just say. :)

That's a good idea, thank you! We aren't really tech savvy so figuring this stuff out is a headache for us. :giggle:

We aren't quite sure yet. We are waiting for the other person to come back to us with an idea for their channel's video and myself and my friend haven't met up since we first discussed the collab so have yet to have our own idea. We probably wouldn't do a sketch or anything like that, more likely a talky video on a certain subject or a tag I suppose?

Skype sould meet your needs perfectly for this then :)
 
I've done a few long distance. Primarily through skype if you want to do a discussion or something. Or another possibility is doing a "top 5 -----" because you can have one person talking about one of there favourite things, and then edit it and have someone else talk there's its all good.

That sounds like a good idea! I really like the top 5 thing! :biggrin: I'll let my friend know and I'll be sure to mention you in the video if we use that idea. :happy: Thank you!
