Looking for a network

Hi everyone new to these forums, Joined up because I wanted some advice on partnerships I've applied to a couple and got offered a few including one with machinimas affiliate contract, however it's too long for my liking so I'm waiting to hear if they'll shorten the length of it. I'm also not sure if it will even help me grow much as there doesn't appear to be any benefit to being partnered with them such as a community channel or whatever, I also don't really understand all this CPM, RPM 60/40, 70/30 business to well or mainly how they all fit together. what order to they come into play. Does anyone have any experience with the affiliate partnership and whether or not it is a good one. I've notice a lot of recruiters on here so if anyone is interested in me feel free to message me and give me your info either on here or Youtube as I think I don't have PMs enabled yet. hopefully I've not broken any rules and thanks for posting all these great topics for me to read :).

CPM is the money you get. Example 60/40 - means you get 60% of the profit and the network gets 40%.
Im not really sure on affiliate partnership though.

CPM is the cost per Mile, so the amount made per 1,000 monetizable views. RPM is the revenue made per 1,000 monetizable views, which is after taking all of the network cuts out. 60/40 means you get 60%, your network gets 40% of your CPM, the same with you getting 70%, your network getting 30%. Vultra Shane is a recruiter here, as well as many others here. Do you mind sharing which networks you got offered a contract into?

Having a partnership with a network allows you to monetize a larger amount of games as gaming networks have some licenses and rights for them. Being partnered also lessens the risk of you getting a Copyright claim on your videos, and so you are protected if you follow the rules.

machinima, socialblade and Vultra, there may be more as I am waiting to hear back.

When I see CPM of say 250 is that basically take home advertised pay and would 500 RPM @60/40 be 300 CPM? thanks for your help.

Looks like you might have got a answer for CPM and benefits but what Network you should join?
Join a network which provides you the beat CPM. Go to various network sites and apply there and once you get accepted and get a contract, check the CPM they are offering. Go on with best. Here are some networks i had also applied for and got accepted with just like 1-2k views daily. If u have this much apply to these-
- Maker Studios
- Fullscreen
- Socialblade
- IGN
- TGN
- Machinima
- Vultra
I got accepted in all these and preferred fullscreen which gave me the best CPM.
One more advice, if u have a GAMING CHANNEL, network partnership is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Thanks buddy, I do have a gaming channel yeah, do all those networks allow you to post content for every game? most of the contracts I have read say about a split of say 60/40 but nothing about the RPM. doesn't the RPM vary?

When you say 250 I take it you mean 2.50 because no one will offer you 250£ per 1000 monetizable views :p Your RPM/CPM will vary, different networks will offer you different estimates but you won't have a fully accurate CPM/RPM till you sign and it will vary, it is very rarely a fixed rate and will tend to fluctuate based on a number of factors including but not limited to : Where you are from, Time of the year, amount of daily monetizable views.

If you have a gaming channel the following networks would be your best options-
- Machinima (recommended)
- TGN
- IGN
- Fullscreen
- Social blade
And to your RPM question, they vary a lot. It all depends on place you're living, time, type of ad, which company ad etc. But joining a big network will give a slight advantage over getting better RPM ads but its hardly considered. Joining any one of the above stated Networks will provide you with a fair and almost similar RPM, Machinima having a slight advantage. But as I said choose the network with the best Cut-Off, 60/40 is most common but I had got 70/30 from fullscreen, higher than any of the networks I have mentioned above. So apply everywhere and choose the one with the best cut off and a 1year term. That will be the best network you could partner with.

Not at all what the above said, networks often give you more features/better support/higher earnings for less of a gross split or a longer contract.
