It's much harder to get into FullScreen and Machinima now. I suggest going for smaller networks first who'll help your channel grow, like RPM. :D

Machinima has a terrible reputation for contract terms, contract lengths, (BAD) fixed CPM, and customer support.

For example Curse offers 50% higher fixed CPM than Machinima, with I believe shorter or no lock in contracts (confirm the contract length part, can't remember for sure). Either way fixed CPM is a bad way to go in my opinion.

I didn't even know Machinima had a fixed CPM? I honestly wouldn't recommend Fullscreen or Machinima that highly, but if you had to choose between the 2 go with fullscreen IMO.

Yeah, Machinima has used fixed CPM for a good long time.

I just found out that they changed their fixed CPM (used to be $2 per 1k monetized views) to be a guaranteed CPM $1.31 per 1k and 80-20 above that. However that probably means if you have a CPM of 1.32, you're earning 20% less than if you had been $1.31

Got those numbers from someone so can't confirm, but they seemed to know what they were talking about.

What I'm confused, they give you a 80-20 split if you have a better CPM than 1.31$ and just pay you 1.31$ per 1000 if you don't?

That is how it was explained to me. Not sure if 100% accurate or if there are any catches. I hope to talk to Machinima sometime soon so I'll probably have a better idea then.

I asked for clarification on the machimina deal after we traded messages last night. It's actually not a fixed CPM as I originally thought. It's whatever you make up to $1.31 CPM, which is paid out at 100% and then 80/20 for anything over. So if you make less than $1.31, they will not make up the difference.
