Like my new trademark?

I've been thinking long and hard about what my trademark is going to be... e.g NigaHiga has TEEHEE at the end of this videos; Chester See says I'm Recording, so I think I've finally came up with a trademark.

I want to appeal to audience who are young (around 10-20 (or more)), and something that has always been popular with youth is geek glasses and shirts and I'm a fan of these!

So, my logo (check it out on my channel art) is my account name with geek glasses on the words. And in the future I will say "I'm a geek" at the end of my video and I will wear my geek glasses in my videos and maybe my geek t-shirt. And if I ever become popular, this opens all shorts of business avenues as I can sell geek glasses and shirts to my fans.

Tell me what you think and if you think it's a memorable and clever trademark. And I think it's original as I've not seen any other Youtuber do something like that.

Ye-ah. Its a great idea. But I dont think that youre doing anything geeky so... :/ I dont see the point :O
 
Whoa you really thought into this haha. It could work if your profile picture had you in those glasses. I think over here (in Canada anyhow) thick black rims are more associated with hipsters and fake geeks. I know with actual geeky crowd, they frown upon people pretending to be a geek just for attention and stuff.

The banner is a good start, I think repeating your name twice is not needed, then having your smaller profile picture and a larger version of it side by side is also not needed. That's my feed back!

I don't think I have to act geeky for it to work? As I am such a geek irl. And I know many Youtubers that have trademarks that don't make sense but works for them. Such as: Jenna marbles always says "Good bye spider man" and iisuperwomanii has her superman hand sign, but doesn't do anything super, she just does vlogs :)

Yeah, I know. That is only rough, until I find the time so get a picture of myself with the geek glasses and I also need to find my geek shirt haha :) But, yeah. I would probably put my 'I'm a geek' slogan where my banner is and use my banner on my videos where you can feature your channel. And I would put a more smiley pic as my profile and next to that I would put one with me posing with my glasses or my geek shirt or some shiz haha

Well if you feel like its your thing do it :p Just my thoughts.
 
If you're a geek, then go for it.. It's a good idea. If you're not a geek, an you are doing this just because it's popular... Don't. No one likes a poser, or bandwagoners. Not saying you are, (I'm on my phone so I can't check out your channel haha) but that's just my view on it.

Well, considering that I'm top class in everything, I used to be a hardcore Minecrafter with my own server and shiz and the fact Toy Story is one of the best movies for me..... hmm... But, I don't want people thinking I'm just attention seeking, so I think I'll have to rethink this :/

Well if you find yourself as geeky, go for it! Do you wear glasses and geeky Tshirts regularly?
 
Geekiness comes naturally, don't force it. There's just too many chicks and dudes out there that try to play of the geeky vibe to attract people to them. Like KGATV said, it came come off very fake sometimes.

I wouldn't play that card myself, since I'm just a dabbler of geekiness haha.
