Here is my latest YT3D video, it shows various plants, trees and flowers
springing to life here in my home town. Thanks to Michael, the 3D player
works in the YTtalk forum! If you don't have a 3D monitor or glasses
you can view the video in 2D by clicking the "3D" button below the video
and choosing to turn the 3D off. Let me know what you think of the video,
thanks for watching!

here is a question from someone who is still ignoring 3D . I watched it on youtube and I am assuming I need 3D glasses for it? lol just checking. I know there is 3D out there that doesnt need glasses but its like a bazzillion bucks for the setup still (last check i think it was about 15k for the type of TV that I am referring to). I am assuming the youtube one is the glasses version but just checking :)

The YT3D player works independent of the viewing solution on the viewers end. Videos are uploaded in half side by side format, the player then presents them in the format requested by the viewer. So if you have red/blue glasses you choose that option in the 3D menu, if you have a line polarized monitor or TV that uses REALD glasses (the ones from the theater) then you choose that option. There are glasses free cell phones like the HTC EVO 3D & the LG Optimus 3D (aka LG Thrill 4G) that have 3D YouTube app built in and you can view the videos without glasses. There are also glasses free Android tablets coming to market this spring @ under U.S. $200. We are still several years away from glasses free 3D televisions being available and affordable to most consumers.

okay was just checking but yeah I am waiting for those monitors that wont make me use glasses which are prohibitively expensive at the moment..

Yeah we are still several years away from mass adoption of glasses free 3D TV's, but I'll have the content for them when they do show up ;)
